At 10:17 am on October 17, amidst popping firecrackers and dancing fireworks, Industrial Bank's first professional retail sub-branch in Jinan – the Jianshe Road Sub-branch, opened for business. Industrial Bank Jinan Branch President Zhuo Xinzhang, Vice President Li Yubo, and Assistant President Zhang Xuefu, attended the opening ceremony and unveiled the sign for the new sub-branch. The ceremony was joined by nearly 30 key clients of the sub-branch.

Industrial Bank Jinan Jianshe Road Sub-branch, located at No. 90, Jianshe Road in downtown Jinan, is one of the seven intra-city sub-branches of Industrial Bank Jinan Branch and Industrial Bank's first professional retail branch in Jinan. The sub-branch is positioned as a community bank and a wealth management bank; it's dedicated to providing convenient community financial services for residents in nearby communities; its scope of services include comprehensive professional wealth management services relating to banking, insurance and securities, and professional retail financial services such as personal loans and credit cards. In the design of service areas, the sub-branch has set up special services areas, including a cash business area, a financial supermarket, a VIP client service area, and a VIP wealth management room; the sub-branch is staffed with professional service personnel, including a lobby manager and wealth management assistants, providing clients with convenient one-stop professional wealth management services.

In recent years, Industrial Bank Jinan Branch is reported to have been vigorously pressing ahead with its operation transformation program, and its retail business has experienced a rapid and healthy growth. Up to the end of September, the balance of the branch's personal loans totaled RMB 1.037 billion, which is 126% of the target amount for the whole year as set by the head office. In the first nine months of this year, the branch also enjoyed steadily rising share of the new personal loan market in the region, accounting for 20% of the growth in the personal mortgage loan market. During the same period of time, the branch's total sales of various types of wealth management products and fund products totaled RMB 1.46 billion, surging 261.7% year-on-year. So far, the branch has issued 76,700 credit cards, including 49,200 in this year; these credit cards are used to make purchases worth RMB 2.81 million on an average day. In recent years, the branch has launched various special retail financial products, such as the fund supermarket, trading of gold in kind, everyday “WLB” RMB wealth management, “JJB of Hong Kong stock”, and “LLB” of housing loan, which are immensely popular among local citizens. In an effort to boost the retail financial service capabilities of its business outlets, besides opening its first professional retail bank, the branch has set out to renovate its existing sub-branches according to the retail sub-branch standards.
