How to get an Industrial Bank Debit Card?

• Master Card: All you have to do to get your Industrial Bank debit card is to make your way to any Industrial Bank outlet, produce valid personal ID document (includes ID card, Serviceman ID card or a passport etc.) and fill out an application form. No guarantee or proof of employment is required. The card can be both claimed and used immediately.

• Affiliate Card: You are able to apply for an affiliate card once you are the holder of an Industrial Bank card. As the card holder, all you have to do to get an affiliate card is to produce your personal identification, your card and the personal identification of the intended affiliate card holder at any outlet under the bank in which your card (the master card) was issued and fill out an application form. The master and affiliate cards work from a single current account, but the fixed-term deposits on each card are independent from one another. To cancel either card, simply produce your card at any outlet under the bank in which the master card was issued and handle the necessary formalities.

How to get an Industrial Bank Co-branded Card?

Any Individual that both acknowledges and is willing to abide by the regulations of Industrial Bank co-branded cards is entitled to apply. All you need to do is make your way to the Industrial Bank branch that issues the co-branded card that you require, produce valid personal ID (Valid ID includes: Resident Identity Card, Residence booklet, Serviceman ID Card, Passport or Residence Permit etc ) and then request a card.

How to get an Industrial Bank Smart Card?

• Company Card: Any company that has the permission of the People's Bank of China to open an account and who is in possession of a standard savings account with a domestic financial organization is permitted to apply for an Industrial Bank company smart card. Applications should be made with Industrial Bank branches that offer smart card services. For company cards, several cards can be issued for one company.

• Personal Card: Individuals may produce valid ID at Industrial Bank branches that offer smart card services to apply. Only one card can be issued per person.

How to report a lost Industrial Bank Card?

In the event that your Industrial Bank card has been lost or stolen, you are strongly recommended to fill out a loss report form as soon as possible (valid ID required) at any outlet under the branch that issued the card. A fee of RMB 10 Yuan will be levied. The card will be frozen on a temporary basis as soon as a legitimate report has been made. After 7 days, the holder can decide whether to replace the card or close the account. Any losses incurred by the card holder (as a result of the card been stolen or lost) before a loss report is made are the sole responsibility of the card holder.

In the event of an emergency, a temporary emergency loss report can be made through the bank's telephone banking service, self-service system or internet bank. However, a formal written loss report must be made within 5 days for the temporary freeze on the card to remain valid.

How to replace a card?

If your card has sustained damage and requires replacement, take the card and valid proof of identification to any outlet of the bank under the branch that issued the card to apply for a new one. After 7 days, the holder will be able to collect the replacement card from the outlet at which the application was made. The new card will possess all of the functions that the old one did, meaning that the holder does not need re-apply for previously activated service items.

How to change the Card's password?

Card holders can change the password manually at any Industrial Bank outlet, ATM, or financial self-service system. Alternatively, card holders can change their password through the Industrial Bank's telephone banking service (national customer service hotline: 95561) or internet bank.

How to cancel password control on my card?

If the card holder inputs the card password incorrectly 6 times in a row when making card transactions over the counter or through self-service channels such as ATM, POS, IB self-service system, telephone banking or online banking, the bank will automatically take control over the password so as to prevent the password being unlawfully cracked following multiple attempts. This protects the interests of the card holder.

The password can be unlocked at any outlet of the bank under the branch that issued the card. The card holder is required to provide the card and the proof of identification before the password can be successfully unlocked. If the card holders authorize somebody to unlock the password on their behalf, the authorized party must provide proof of identification and a valid letter of authorization before the password can be successfully unlocked.

How to retrieve card when it has been swallowed by an ATM?

In the event that your card has been swallowed by an ATM, you must handle the formalities required for the retrieval of the card at the outlet in charge of the ATM in question within 3 working days. Valid proof of identification or any other documentation that proves that you are the card holder will be required. Contact the original issuing branch if you have missed the deadline mentioned above.

What to do in case of losing or forgetting password?

A password loss report can be made at any outlet of the bank under the branch that issued the card. The holder is required to produce the card in question and valid proof of identification before a valid report can be made.

How to check card transaction details?

The card holder can check the 10 most recent card transactions via IB ATM, financial self-service system, telephone banking and internet banking (the holder of the affiliate card can only check the 10 most recent transactions of the affiliate card).

Card holders can request an Industrial Bank transaction record booklet from any outlet of the Industrial Bank in the area of the branch where the card was issued. To get the booklet, card holders are required to provide a card and corresponding password. The book is used to record all transactions of an Industrial Bank card Renminbi current account starting from the date that the booklet is issued. The holder of the card can hand over the book at the counter, following which the record of transactions will be printed inside. If the booklet is lost or when it is full, the holder can request a new one from any outlet of the Industrial Bank under the branch that issued the card (card and password required). This booklet records the record of transactions. It is not a savings book, nor can it be used for the purpose of depositing or withdrawing funds. It can not be used as a receipt of cash deposits or withdrawals.

What to do if there is an error when using the card for Inter-bank Transactions?

When using your card to withdraw cash from an ATM run by another bank, if you discover that an error has occurred, such as the money that you wish to withdraw from your account having been deducted but the actual cash itself has not being dispended, or only dispensed in part, please contact the outlet responsible for the ATM or the card issuer to arrange for the necessary formalities to be handled.
