IB Honor in 2009

On January 9, 2009, the Bank won the “2008 Bank with the Greatest Growth Potential” and the “2008 Outstanding Service Provider in the Chinese Banking Industry” in the 6th Financial and Economic Honors organized by www.hexun.com.

On February 24, 2009, besides winning the 2008 “Excellence Award for Transactions” and “Excellence Award for Derivative Transaction” awarded by China Foreign Exchange Trading Center, the Bank was also honored the “Best Market Maker”, the “Market Maker with the Greatest Influence”, and the “Most Popular Market Maker”.

In February 2009, IB Head Office was named into the fourth group of “National Advanced Entities for Cultural and Ideological Progress” by the Civilization Office of the Central Government.

On April 9, 2009, the Bank was awarded the “Prize of Outstanding Contribution of Financial Industry” in the Appraisal of 2008 China Charitable Ranking of Financial Enterprises jointly sponsored by JRJ.com and China Association of Social Work (CASW).

On April 11, 2009, at the Summit of Board of Directors of Chinese Listed Companies and the Award Ceremony for the 5th Golden Round Table Prize, Gao Jianping, Chairman of the Bank was honored the “Best Board Director of Social Responsibilities”, Independent Director Ba Shusong the “Most Influential Independent Director”, and Board Secretary Tang Bin the “Most Innovative Board Secretary”.

On April 14, 2009, Gao Jianping, Chairman of IB was honored the “2008 Chinese Banking Person of the Year” at the Appraisal of 2008 Chinese Banking Persons of Year jointly organized by China Finance Research Institute, China Finance Network and China Finance Journalist Club.

In April 2009, the well-known US financial magazine Forbes published the Forbes Global 2000 Ranking of Listed Companies in 2009. The Bank ranked No. 389 in the list, becoming the first enterprise of Fujian Province entering into the global top 500 of listed companies.

On May 10, 2009, at the appraisal of the 2009 Asian Banker Leadership Achievement Prize held by the renowned financial magazine, The Asian Banker, the Bank won the “Achievement Award for Payment Services to Banks and Enterprises” with its outstanding performance in the field of bank-bank cooperation.

In May 2009, Financial Times, a mainstream international media, released the 2009 FT Global 500 Ranking, and the Bank entered the ranking for the first time at the 292 nd place with a total market value of USD 16.814 billion, coming at the 16th place among all the 27 companies from the Chinese Mainland.

In May 2009, the Customer Service Center (95561) of the Bank won the “Best Call Center in China 2009” appraised jointly by the CRM Committee of the China Federation of IT Promotion and the Customer Contact Center Standard (CCCS) Commission.

On June 4, 2009, the results of the appraisal of 2009 sustainable banking prize jointly organized by the British Financial Times and International Finance Corporation (IFC) were released, and the Bank was nominated for two awards, i.e. the “2009 Sustainable Bank” and “2009 Asian Sustainable Bank”. Finally, the Bank won the champion of “2009 Asian Sustainable Bank”, becoming the only Chinese financial institution winning the honor by now.

On June 6, 2009, the Award Ceremony for the “4th Chinese Securities Journal Cup Top 10 Listed Companies for Competitiveness and Public Credibility” was held in Nanjing, and the Bank topped the list of “Top 10 Listed Companies with the Greatest Sustained Investment Value”, and Board Secretary Tang Bin also won the title of “Gold Medal Board Secretary for Investor Relations”.

On June 26, 2009, the Bank was awarded the prize of “2008 Enterprise with the Greatest Social Influence in China” at the 3rd B&M China Summit for Corporate Brand Dissemination 2009.

On June 26, 2009, the 2008 Value Appraisal of Chinese Listed Companies and the 1st Award Ceremony for the Most Popular Websites of Listed Companies among Investors in China was held in Beijing. The Bank won was honored one of the “2008 China Top 100 Most Valuable Listed Companies”, the website of the Bank was conferred with the title of the “Best Business Platform Website”, and Board Secretary Tang Bin was granted one of the “Best 100 Board Secretaries of Listed Companies in China”.

On June 27, 2009, the 11th Gold Bull Forum of Listed Companies and the Award Ceremony for the Gold Bull Prize of 2008 Top 100 Listed Companies in China was held in Beijing, and the Bank won the “Gold Bull Prize of 2008 Top 100 Listed Company in China”.

In July 2009, the Bank went up significantly again in the 2009 Global 1000 Banks recently released by the mainstream British magazine, The Banker, ranking No.117 in terms of Tier 1 capital, 30 positions over the previous year, and No.9 among domestic banks; rising to No. 108 in terms of total assets by 16 positions over previous year and No.10 among domestic banks.

On August 1, 2009, in the appraisal of “2008 China Best Banks” sponsored by Economic Observer Newspaper, the Bank won the “2008 Best Green Bank Prize”, a special one of the “2008 China Best Bank Prizes”, with pioneering exploration and practice in the field of green finance.

On September 5, 2009, the Bank won the prize of “Best Financing Program for SMEs” at the 2nd China SME Financing Forum jointly sponsored by China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (CASME), Dalian Municipal Government, China Banking Association (CBA), Securities Association of China (SAC), and Financial News.

On September 25, 2009, the Internet Banking and Mobile Banking of the Bank won the “Best Internet Banking Prize” and the “Best Mobile Banking Prize” at the 10 th Appraisal of China Outstanding Financial and Economic Websites sponsored by Securities Times.

In September 2009, the Customer Service Center (95561) of the Bank was named the “2009 Best Call Center” jointly by Customer Care and Management World and Contact Center Capability Maturity (CC-CMM) International Standard Certification Steering Committee.

On November 21, 2009, the Bank was honored “2009 Bank with the Best Institutional Cooperation Bank across Asia” at the 4th Asian 21st Century Annual Finance Summit and Press Conference for 2011 Asian Banks Competitiveness Rankings.

On November 29, 2009, at the 2009 CBN Financial Value Summit and the Award Ceremony for 2009 CBN Financial Value (CFV) Ranking, the “Natural Life” wealth management brand of the Bank won the only “Annual Wealth Management Brand” of the 2009 CBN Financial Value Ranking, and the “Annual Bank Wealth Management Brand” at the same time.

On December 3, 2009, the Bank was granted the “2009 Outstanding Nature Protection Supporter Award” by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

On December 9, 2009, at the 6th Appraisal of China Best Corporate Citizens 2009 jointly sponsored by 21st Century Business Herald and 21st Century Business Review, the Bank won the “Best Corporate Citizen Prize” for the third consecutive year.
