IB Honor in 2010

In February 2010, in the “Top 500 Finance Brands 2010” released by the British Magazine, The Banker, the brand value of IB reached USD 1,221 million, up 160% with an increase of USD 750 million compared with the last year. Its rank leaped to No.117 from No.172 around the world, up by 55 positions, and it ranked No.9 among banks in China. Its growth of brand value and rank promotion both ranked No.1 among Chinese banks.

In February 2010, IB claimed the “China Baosteel Environmental Excellence Prize” in the appraisal of the sixth “China Baosteel Environment Prize”, becoming the first financial institution to receive this award.

On April 21, 2010, the 2010 Forbes Global 2000 Listed Companies rankings were released by the US magazine, Forbes. IB climbed 144 places to secure a rank of No.245. Moreover, the bank ranked 15th among the 113 companies from the Chinese Mainland in the list.

In April 2010, the business office of IB Zhangzhou Branch was honored the state-level honorary title of “Model Youth Unit”.

According to the 2010 rankings of the world's Top 500 companies as compiled by the international mainstream media, Financial Times, in May 2010, the Bank ranked No.282, making it into the top 300 with a total market value of USD 27.044 billion, representing an increase of USD 10 billion over the previous year. The rank in the year represents a climb of 10 places compared to the year before. Among the 23 Chinese Mainland enterprises entering the rankings, IB came in the 15th place.

On May 29, 2010, the results of the “Most Influential Series Appraisals of China's Securities Market Over 20 Years” were announced in Beijing. The Bank had the honor of being named as the “Favorite Public Listed Company among Investors in China's Securities Market over the Last 20 Years” by right of its stable and strong business performance and excellent work in investor relations.

On June 20, 2010, the Bank was awarded the “No.1 Best Listed Company for Contribution in Social Responsibility” in the 5th Chinese Securities Journal Cup Top 10 Listed Companies for Competitiveness and Public Credibility”.

In July 2010, internationally renowned publication, The Banker, published its rankings of World Top 1000 Banks in 2010. The Bank continued to climb up the list, ranking in the 97th place (20 positions higher than the year before) in terms of Tier 1 capital and 93rd (15 positions higher than the year before) in terms of total assets. This was the first time that the bank had been ranked among the Top 100 banks in the world.

In July 2010, Hu Run Research Institute published Hu Run Brand List. The brand value of the Bank hit RMB 15 billion, representing an increase of RMB 6.4 billion over last year. The Bank ranked No.24 among China's 100 Most Valuable Brands.

In July 2010, according to the “2010 China's Best Brand Value List” jointly released by the world's mainstream financial magazine, Forbes, and the biggest brand consultancy in the world, Inter brand, the Bank ranked No.25.

In July 2010, Hang Seng Indexes Company Limited announced “Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Series”. The Bank was successfully listed in the “Hang Seng (China A) Corporate Sustainability Index” and “Hang Seng (Mainland and HK) Corporate Sustainability Index” owing to its unremitting efforts and outstanding performance in sustainable development. Moreover, the Bank ranked 2 nd in the constituent stock of “Hang Seng (China A) Corporate Sustainability Index” with a weighting of 10.32%.

On October 21, 2010, the Bank was recently honored the prizes of “2009 Best Bank for Technical Application in China” and “2009 Best Green Bank in China” in the “Appraisal of Best Banks in China” organized by Economic Observer Newspaper.

On October 30, 2010, the Bank was honored the prize of “Best Corporate Governance for Financial Institution” in the selection and appraisal of “Corporate Governance Index Release and Forum” organized by the Center for the Study of Corporate Governance of Nankai University.

On November 6, 2010, the Bank's “Business Express” integrated financial service program for individuals won the title of national “Top 10 Special Financial Products Serving Small-sized Businesses and Agriculture, Rural Area and Farmers” at the “14th National Forum on Regional Finance”.

On November 26, 2010, Organized in cooperation with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and many other research institutes, 21st Century Business Herald released the “2010 Asian Banks Competitiveness Ranking Research Report” in Beijing. Ranking among the Top 10 Asian Commercial Banks in terms of overall competitiveness, the Bank was awarded the prize of “2010 Most Profitable Bank in Asia” with the weighted average return of the bank on net assets exceeding 24% for four years consecutively.

On November 20, 2010, the Award Ceremony of the 5 th Appraisal of China's Investor Relations sponsored by China Listed Company Investor Relations Management Research Center was held in Nanjing. The Bank was honored “Runner-up in the Top 100 Chinese A Share Listed Companies for Investor Relations” for a second time.

On December 2, 2010, the Bank was conferred with the title “2010 Low-carbon Pioneer Enterprise” in the appraisal held jointly by the Institute for Urban and Environmental Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and 21st Century Business Herald, and the low-carbon development case of the Bank was also covered into “Report on Low-carbon Development of Chinese Enterprises”.

On December 3, 2010, the Bank won the Best Corporate Citizen Prize in the Seventh Appraisal of China Best Corporate Citizen sponsored by 21st Century Business Herald. The Bank was horned the Prize for four consecutive years.

On December 20, 2010, the appraisal result of “Golden Dragon Prize” – the 2009-2010 gold medal list of Chinese financial institutions organized jointly by Financial News and the Institute of Finance and Banking, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences was revealed in Beijing. The Bank won the prize of “Best Capital Operation”.
