In response to the layout adjustment by People's Bank of China for big amounts payment system, Industrial Bank recently has successfully developed a brand-new business platform—Bank-Bank Platform, which focuses on inter-bank network cooperation and inter-bank agent business. 90 high-level leaders from financial institutions such as rural credit unions, postal savings & remittance bureaus, city commercial banks and so on will met together in Harbour Plaza Chongqing and attend the exchange meeting for operation of bank-bank platform hosted by Industrial Bank Chongqing branch.
People in charge of Industrial Bank Chongqing branch stated in the interview, in recent years, Industrial Bank has kept on researching, discussing and exploring the win-win cooperative mode among small and medium-sized financial institutions, and has cultivated sound cooperative relationship with small and medium-sized financial institutions. The layout adjustment by People's Bank of China for big amounts payment system and the permission for agents to access to the modern payment system created chances for further cooperation among small and medium-sized financial institutions by network.
It was said that the first stage of the bank-bank platform had realized 3 key functions: access agent to modern payment system, non-local fund transfer agent, and counter agent. Through the sharing and integration of inter-bank resource, the platform will boost the service capacity and comprehensive competitive strength of platform-connected banks.
During the meeting, Industrial bank will introduce the key functions and technology realization of the platform and discuss with attended representatives about the new cooperative mode such as specialization among domestic financial institutions, interaction of complementary advantage, sharing of resource, value extension and so on.
At present，Industrial Bank has signed inter-bank cooperative agreements with several financial institutions including Jingzhou Rural Credit Cooperative Unions, Shiyan Rural Cooperative Credit Unions etc..
