The Industrial Bank's international ranking has witnessed a significant climb according to the 2009 Rankings of the World's Top 1000 Banks recently published by authoritative British magazine Banker Magazine. According to the tables, the Industrial Bank rose 30 places over last year ranking in 117th place in terms of tier one capital (9th place among domestic banks). In terms of total assets, the bank ranked in 108 th place, representing a 16 place climb over last year (10th place among domestic banks).
