On August 8, Zhouqu County, Gansu Province suffered from severe landslides and flooding caused by torrential rains. The landslides resulted in a major loss of life and huge economic losses. This disaster has touched the hearts of the 20,000 employees of the Industrial Bank nationwide, who have given kind donations in order to help the disaster-stricken people of Zhouqu rebuild their homes and continue with their lives. By September 15, employees from head office and various branches had donated a total of RMB 1.5 million Yuan through local charity institutions in different parts of the country.
