During the recently held “2010 Annual Publicity Campaign for the Assured and Secure Use of Online Banking” organized by the China Financial Certification Authority (CFCA), the Industrial Bank's (IB) online banking platform “IB Online” was granted the “2010 China Best Online Banking Feature Prize” owing to its diverse range of functions and its overall standard of services. This is another top prize that has been awarded to the Industrial Bank's electronic banking this year by an authoritative institution, and comes after the bank was awarded the “Best Online Banking Service Prize” by the Securities Times and the “Best Service Innovation Prize” by www.hexun.com.
IB released its internet banking service “IB Online” as early as the year 2000. In 2002, the platform was accredited by the China Information Technology Security Evaluation Center. Since its launch, the platform has undergone three major upgrades that now allow it to integrate over 610 personal banking services in 55 categories and 372 corporate banking services in 13 categories. The system covers almost all daily banking services, and boasts particularly outstanding performances in its p recious metal trading, inter-bank fund management, and electronic commerce services.
In addition to functions such as inquir ies, transfers, fund trading, precious metal trading, escrow, T-bonds, foreign exchange, loans, and online shopping, “IB Online” Personal Internet Banking also provides a range of other services, including: UnionPay funds, the IB e-card, one-stop payments, and the financial information channel. In addition to the basic functions of account inquiries, corporate collection and payment, corporate financing, group services, virtual sub-accounts, EASYTRADE and EASYTRUST, Corporate Internet Banking also provides the following services: batch collection/payment, Management of Group Funds, inter-bank fund management, consignment loans, the third-party depository, precious metal trading, fund investment and electronic commerce. According to reports, the Industrial Bank has also independently developed an inter-bank online payment and settlement platform, an online corporate alliance service platform, an industrial e-commerce service platform, and IB e-Mall over the last two years. The diversified s ervices available on the Industrial Bank's internet banking service provide individual and corporate clients with a convenient, efficient and safe mode of banking and payment. This has led to a great deal of enthusiasm towards internet banking among clients.
In addition, in regard to security, the Industrial Bank's internet banking service was one of the first internet banking platforms in the industry to be accredited by the China Information Technology Security Evaluation Center. The service boasts 12 guarantees to ensure the safety of customers in the us e of online banking. In cooperation with the China Financial Certification Authority, it was the first to implement prefabricated U-key certificate s for security. With outstanding performance in terms of convenience and security, IB's internet banking service has won a series of t op prizes.
It has also been reported that the IB e-Mall is also launching a broad range of activities (e.g. free purchase on Christmas and New Year's Day) to coincide with the end of 2010. During these activities, preferential programs such as free purchase s will be available every day when purchas ing products in the clothing, cosmetics, sports and brand sections of the IB e-Mall.
