The “Sesame Blooming” (Improvement) Program of Industrial Bank Assists the IPOs of SMEs in the Western Straits

On May 25, Industrial Bank (IB) held a themed promotion meeting: ‘IB Sesame Blooming’ Serve the Western Straits and Assists the IPOs of SMEs” in Quanzhou, Fujian. Representatives from famous brokerages across China and nearly 100 outstanding entrepreneurs of SMEs in Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, etc, were invited and subsequently attended the meeting.

It is understood that this March, IB will announce the “Seven Innovations” to respond to the “Five Campaigns” of Fujian, striving to improve its financial productivity and ensure that the demand for funds for constructing key projects under the “Five Campaigns” are met via business innovations in the following seven key fields: direct financing services, financial leasing services, green finance, supply chain finance, entire-industrial chain services for urbanization, IPOs of SMEs and asset business cooperation. Specifically, IB innovatively introduced the “Sesame Blooming” SME IPO Program to offer professional, refined and differential IPO services to SMEs with investment banking service tools in accordance with the financing needs of SMEs in different stages of development, on the basis of providing traditional financial service products.

At the meeting, IB introduced to all guests its work and achievements in serving SMEs in the Western Straits, giving a detailed description of the service contents and innovative values of the “Sesame Blooming” SME IPO Program on the areas of fund settlement, debt financing, equity financing, capital operation, development planning, wealth management, corporate governance, etc. As revealed by IB, since the release of the “IB Sesame Blooming” SME IPO Program last June, the bank has selected over 500 outstanding SMEs with IPO potential from the province to enter into the “IB Sesame Blooming” customer pool. With inclined credit support and professional investment banking services, four enterprises in the customer pool have been listed on the SME board and GEM board, one has passed an examination of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, three have been registered at the China Securities Regulatory Commission and are currently in the examination stage, three are planning to be listed in Hong Kong and have submitted application materials to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and six completed shareholding reform and entered into the IPO guidance stage.

At the meeting, representatives of brokerages also introduced various emerging direct-financing tools and provided technical guidance for SMEs to open new financing channels within the capital markets and bond markets.

IB indicated that Fujian, where the bank is rooted, was its hometown and that to provide superior financial services to SMEs in the Western Straits, to serve the development of the Western Straits and carry out business innovation, was always the focus of IB. In the future, IB will also organize similar promotion campaigns and establish cooperation platforms to further improve the effective communication between various financial institutions and SMEs, so as to jointly enhance the financing environment for SMEs and to try and make greater contributions to the construction of the Western Straits.
