The New Generation Core Business System of Industrial Bank was Successfully Brought Online and is Running Smoothly

Industrial Bank (IB) customers have experienced different counter services since October 24: handling more than one type of business after only entering their password once, i.e. processes that can be handled over the counter, such as fixed deposits into a debit card available for deposit and withdrawal across China, reporting a loss, cancellation of loss report, and card renewal at any time. Doing away with the conventional development idea centering on the function of accounting, and targeting “optimizing customer's experience and supporting product innovation”, the new generation core system was launched successfully on October 22 to 23 as planned, and is running normally.

As the most complicated and largest scale IT system project the Bank has undertaken since its founding, the new generation core system has brought about brand-new updated software design, hardware equipment, and operation environment, and more, so its running speed, capacity, functional integrity, and process rationality has gained substantial leaps over the previous version.

It is reported that, apart from improving the business efficiency, enhancing customer's experience, and facilitating services, the new system restructures functions around the aspects of customers, products and processes, and will support product innovation, process optimization, and specialized and refined management of the Bank. As the cornerstone of IB's Five-year Plan 2011-2015, the successful launching of the system will lend vigorous support to IB for its high speed business growth, its expansion of customer groups and service demands rapidly, IB's increasingly diversified products, and deep development of service areas, so as to provide a strong and reliable technical support platform for its new round of rapid growth.
