Next Generation Core Business System of IB Upgraded Successfully

(Apr 17) To build a better, safer and more efficient diversified financial service system, improve service level, strengthen refined and specialized management and enhance competitiveness, IB upgraded its next-generation core business system from Apr 16 to 17 2016. The upgrading was completed nearly 9 hours ahead of schedule successfully. The upgraded system ran smoothly and met all predefined targets.

According to the original plan, the upgrading will take 39 hours from 7:00, Apr 16, 2016 to 22:00, Apr 17, 2016. However, to restpre external service ASAP and serve clients, the upgrading was completed nearly 9 hours ahead of schedule with the efforts of all employees of IB. The new system was launched and put on line at 13:12 Apr 17. At the moment, deposit/withdrawal at ATM, consumption with debit card, online payment, SMS service, internet banking, mobile banking, WeChat banking, direct bank and Money Manager are all restored to serve clients as usual.

With the new system in place, the processing capacity of IB's core business system will leap from 10 million transactions to 100 million transactions per single day. By supporting a multi-layered interests execution system, a multi-level account management system, expansion of payment and settlement platform, and tailoring of diversified products, the new system strongly promotes the construction of a comprehensive financial service system which is based on clients and features diversified products and quick responses to the market, and meets its system support requirements for business innovation, professionalized operation, intensive management, scientific management and lean marketing, which will be helpful to improve its service capabilities and responses speed and strengthen core competitiveness.

The successful launch of new core business system marked another breakthrough of IB's development strategy to advance the transformation of business development model and profit model by way of IT innovation as well as operation and maintenance structure improvement. Against the background of internet based finance, the upgrading fully demonstrated the optimized outcomes of its IT system construction, and enhanced its support ability to the business development, especially emerging businesses and innovative businesses, thus opening a new chapter for the sustainable development of the bank.
