Recently, “the IB Spark” Innovation Marathon Open Competition East Regional Selection Competition was successfully held in Shanghai. Twelve participating teams, judges and guests from relevant fields gathered together to witness the birth of awards in the competition area. Renowned guests from companies like Baidu, Ele.me, etc., provided special sharing sessions, offering new insights and ideas for the integration and innovation of “technology-industry-finance.”
At the final event, a batch of participating projects that closely address market demands and directly target pain points in the industry have impressed the audience with their innovative ideas. For example, the “GLP Industrial and Financial Technology” has created a digital supply chain inclusive financing platform, which collaborates with financial institutions to provide quality and efficient financing experiences for core enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises in the supply chain. The “Smart Living Industry Solution” by Cubic City integrates apartment asset management, digital marketing, and financial payments to provide customers with intelligent and efficient digital service systems. The project team from Beihang University has utilized large model technology and modular frameworks to construct a “Robotic Process Automation,” significantly improving the process efficiency of financial services. The “Cainiao ESG” e-commerce logistics intelligent solution incorporates ESG measures into every aspect of the logistics value chain, providing valuable insights for low-carbon transformation in the financial industry. Eventually, teams such as GLP Industrial and Financial Technology Co., Ltd., Cubic City Service Apartment Group Holdings Limited, and Beihang University stood out from 271 project teams from provinces and cities.

It is reported that “the IB Spark” Innovation Marathon Open Competition is the first financial innovation competition open to domestic and foreign innovative enterprises, teams, and individuals. It is organized under the guidance of the Organizing Committee of the Digital China Construction Summit, jointly sponsored by Industrial Bank, Fujian Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, and the Communist Youth League Fujian Provincial Committee, among others. Being one of the important events of the Digital China Innovation Contest, the “IB Spark” Innovation Marathon Open Competition is a professional event of the Digital China Summit. With the theme “Creating Innovation in the New Era, Achieving Win-Win in the Future”, the open competition combines the development direction of the financial industry and the need for innovation. It serves as an open innovation and exchange platform, gathering and integrating various innovative resources. Through the competition, it aims to mobilize the efforts of all sectors of society to explore innovation, promote exchanges and cooperation among banks, government, enterprises, academia, and research institutions, and contribute intelligence and efforts to the construction of a “financial powerhouse” and a “digital China”. Since the opening of registration in September, the competition has attracted a total of 958 project registrations covering various fields such as fintech, industry ecology, carbon finance, and ESG. According to the competition schedule, there will be selection competitions in the western, southern, and northern regions after the competition, where contestants will compete for the remaining 9 spots to enter the national finals.
