CIB Labor Union Awarded "National March 8th Red Banner Collective" Title

The All-China Women's Federation recently announced its 2024 honors list, with China's Industrial Bank (CIB) Labor Union being granted the "National March 8th Red Banner Collective" title.

The "National March 8th Red Banner Collective" represents the highest recognition conferred by the All-China Women's Federation to outstanding female collectives in China. This year's selection particularly highlighted exemplary female collectives that have earnestly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, demonstrated excellence in high-quality development, technological self-reliance, and cultural advancement, and made extraordinary achievements through dedication and innovation.

CIB Labor Union, a genuine "women's vanguard" with over 60% female membership, serves as both steadfast supporters for employees and growth accelerators. By uniting staff and fostering entrepreneurial drive, it guides employees in fulfilling the political and social responsibilities of finance, enhancing service quality and efficiency, deepening the Integration of "Three Business Pillars" with "Five New Finance Sectors" and "Five Major Topics", and pioneering value banking practices.

"CIB will cherish this honor and strive for continued excellence, inheriting the tenacious spirit of "women rivaling men." We will persistently leverage the union's bridging role to mobilize all employees in building China into a financial powerhouse," stated an official from CIB.

In ideological development, CIB Labor Union consistently upholds the correct political direction, integrating comprehensive Party leadership throughout union operations. It educates and guides employees through Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Leveraging "Employee Homes" as hubs and implementing the Party's 20th National Congress and Third Plenum spirit, the union innovates ideological education by organizing red-themed activities and establishing reading corners to foster a scholarly culture. Through initiatives like "micro-lectures" by union cadres, it strengthens its working mechanisms of study, implementation, and innovation, effectively advancing financial culture with Chinese characteristics through concrete actions. In recent years, CIB Labor Union Committee was awarded Fujian Province's "Model Employee Home," its institutional union received the "National Model Home" title, while its Hangzhou Lin'an branch union group earned "National Model Employee Home" honors.

In employee motivation, CIB Labor Union has firmly grasped the contemporary theme of China's worker movement, guiding employees to make outstanding contributions in their respective positions. It has successively organized 106 labor and skills competitions, including the "Xing Leap," "Xing Fire·Spread Flame" Innovation Marathon, and "Xing Power Link" Practical Competitions, establishing a distinctive CIB honor recognition system. Through selection processes, the union has identified 99 "CIB Master Craftsmen" and 30 "Young Technology Experts," promoting the spirit of model workers, labor, and craftsmanship. By leveraging the exemplary role models, it has inspired the employees to actively engage in the dynamic practice of building China into a financial powerhouse.

In employee care, the union has adhered to the principle of "caring for employees with heart and soul," creating multiple channels for staff innovation and efficiency experimentation. It has upgraded the "Premium Learning Training" program, focusing on thematic research areas including "Digital Finance," "Green Finance," and "Pension Finance." These efforts have established an integrated industry-academia-research project system encompassing study visits, training sessions, course research, practical applications, and promotion activities. Additionally, the CIB Labor Union has actively carried out various care programs including the "Festival Warmth Delivery" during traditional holidays, employee recuperation breaks, and the routine "Five Essential Visits" program. It has innovatively established "Shared Staff Homes," organized Women's Day activities for female employees, set up properly equipped "Mother's Rooms" in office spaces, regularly hosted women's health lectures with expert consultations, and maintained regular sports activities like basketball and badminton tournaments, providing comprehensive physical and mental health services for staff.

In recent years, CIB has consistently regarded upholding Party leadership and strengthening Party building as its "root and soul," driving high-quality development through high-caliber Party leadership. With total assets exceeding RMB 10 trillion, the bank maintains a position among the global top 20 banks. In 2024, CIB headquarters was awarded the "National May 1st Labor Certificate" and received the "Five-Star Banking Institution for Serving Fujian's Economy" title for three consecutive years.
