1. Direct use without application
The telephone banking can be used to handle services related to inquiry without application.
You can log on with your bank card number or account number or your ID card number, and it is required to set the inquiry password for telephone banking upon your first logon. For a corporate client, the telephone banking cannot be used until the inquiry password is applied with the holding bank.
After logging on, you can handle most services such as account inquiry, inquiry of credit card application progress, and report for loss. To handle the services related to change in funds such as transfer or purchase of wealth management products, you should first submit the application to any business outlet of IB. Users of our internet banking NetShield may activate all services of telephone banking through self-service via the Internet banking system.
*According to relevant provisions of the regulatory authorities, to purchase wealth management products via the internet banking/mobile banking/telephone banking, the client should first go through risk assessment at any business outlet of IB. See here for the detailed business rules.
2. Growing together with sincere 3A service
Our telephone banking offers you with 3A service, namely Anytime, Anywhere, and Anyone. Wherever you are, you can enjoy the 7*24 self-service voice service and operator service at any time.
In the region where our bank has any business outlet, you can call 95561 directly. In a region within the Chinese Mainland where IB has no business outlet, you need to add the district number of the holding bank prior to the "95561". Please dial "country code + district number of the holding bank + 95561" when calling in regions of Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, or a foreign country. VIP clients may directly call 4008895561 to handle services in Chinese Mainland.
If you are a client of our bank, you may handle most banking services via telephone banking such as inquiry, transfer and remittance, investment and wealth management.
If you are not a client of our bank, you can enjoy the services of inquiring the previous metal quotation offered by our telephone banking (95561-2 Personal finance -4 Investment and wealth management -1 Precious metal services -1 Inquiry -1 Inquiry of quotation) and foreign exchange rate (95561-2 Personal finance -4 Investment and wealth management -7 Foreign exchange services -1 inquiry of foreign exchange rate).
3. Fast channel, convenient and considerate
If you lose your IB card due to carelessness, you may dial 95561 to enter menu 95561-5 Loss report or 95561-1 Credit card -8 Operator service for loss report; 95561-2 Personal finance -777 to operator service for handling emergency loss report, 95561-8 Operator service for handling emergency loss report.
When using the self-service voice service, if you make any mistake in the keying-in process, you may press key * to clear the entered content and enter anew.
If you need to inquire the account information, you may call 95561 to enter menu 95561-1 Credit card -1 Statement inquiry, or 95561-2 Personal finance -1 account inquiry. You may also use your reserved mobile phone number to send the "30 + the last four digits of credit card number" to the special SMS number 95561 to inquire about information of associated credit card accounts; send "CCZW (space) + the last four digits of the credit card" to the special message service number to check the manage the available amount and current statement settlement the credit card; and send the "11 + the last four digits of account number" to special SMS number 95561 to inquire about the balance of debit card demand account.
4. What can I do if I forget the password?
If you forget the inquiry password of your credit card, you may reset it through "95561-1 credit card – 8 operator service".
If you forget the inquiry password of your debit card, you may reset it through "95561-2 personal finance – 8 operator service".
If you forget the transaction password of your credit card or debit card, please reset it over the counter at an IB outlet.
The inquiry password of a corporate client or an institutional client can only be reset over counter.
5. How can I modify the password?
The transaction password for a credit card may be modified over counter, at ATM self-service terminal, via internet banking system, or by dialing "95561-1 credit card -6 activation and password service -3 set or modify transaction password" with the mobile phone or family telephone number reserved.
The withdrawal password for a debit card may be modified over counter, at ATM self-service terminal, via Internet banking system, or by dialing "95561-2 personal finance - 2 service management - 2 modify account password".
The inquiry password for a credit card may be modified via Internet banking system, or by dialing "95561-1 Credit card - 6 Activation and password service -4 Set or modify inquiry password".
The inquiry password for a debit card may be modified by dialing "95561-2 personal finance - 2 service management - 3 modify inquiry password".
