On September 25, 2022, the directors, supervisors and senior executives of Industrial Bank (IB) and heads of main departments of the head office attended a training and survey workshop on the construction of ESG management system in the Bank.
In this training and survey workshop, Mr. Xu Lin, an independent director of the Bank, and the KPMG team shared the ESG investment practices, ESG-related theory, knowledge and practices, including ESG regulatory trends, green banking construction, climate and environmental risk management, and the rise of ESG investment concepts and practical operations. During the workshop, IB directors and supervisors affirmed the Bank’s current ESG work, made suggestions on and had an in-depth exchange on the next step of work.
In addition, IB also conducted 3 training sessions on "ESG Embedded in Risk Process", "Privacy and Data Protection" and "ESG Management in Investment Banking Business Process" of “ESG Training Series—Management System Construction and Practical Path” in August and September respectively, with more than 59 thousand participants from IB head office, branches and subsidiaries in various fields including risk management, business lines and technology development, and further explored the possibility of integrating the ESG into IB’s operation management and institutional structure.
