The corporate governance and business philosophy of Industrial Bank (IB) has undergone three stages, which evolved from the supremacy of shareholders' interests to the interests of all stakeholders, and then to the advocacy of the unity and harmony among environment, society and economy as well as the sustainable development of the banking industry. That is, to deepen the understanding of the relationship between the Bank’s social responsibility and its own sustainable development, actively explore various ways of promoting the Bank’s efforts to practice its social responsibility, and build a positive relationship among the human being, the nature, the environment and the society.

By actively innovating its business model, IB puts forward the CSR practice mode of “integrating righteousness with profitability”, that is, combining the social responsibility with the Bank's own vocational work, which is implemented in the specific links of banking operation and management, looking for business opportunities in fulfilling the social responsibility, and exploring a sustainable and developable business and social responsibility practice model with the win-win result between banks and society. Based on this concept, IB organically combines the fulfillment of social responsibility with various banking businesses, guides its operation and management activities through the CSR practice, follows the three principles of “moderation”, “development” and “profit incentive”, advocates innovations for public good, expands, popularizes and deepens the sustainable CSR practice step by step and according to local conditions.
