Question:Why is the font size small when I use IE8 browser to print the transfer and remittance receipt?

Answer: Usually, it is due to the default print setup of IE8 browser. Please click “Page Setup” in the print preview of IE8 browser , and cancel the clicked option of “activating the function of filling with decreased font size”. Then, you can print with normal font size.

Question: Are there any limits on the amount of transfer or remittance via personal internet banking?

Answer: A daily limit is set for the amount of transfer and remittance via personal internet banking, and the daily online accumulative amount of a bank account cannot exceed the daily limit. The daily transfer limit can be set at any IB outlet or set by logging on to the personal internet banking system with a certificate.

Question: How long will it take for ordinary transfer or remittance via personal internet banking?

Answer: The funds transferred and remitted will arrive within 1-2 business days. In case of holiday or festival, IB will handle the transfer and remittance on the business day after the holiday or festival in a timely manner.

Question: What are the differences between free transfer and designated transfer?

Answer: Free transfer: transfer to any demand account without designating the receiving account.

Designated transfer: transfer to a preset demand account.

Question: What are the differences between real-time inter-bank transfer-out and ordinary inter-bank transfer?

Answer: 1. The real-time inter-bank transfer-out funds can arrive on a real-time basis. The ordinary inter-bank transfer funds will arrive within 1-2 business days. In case of holiday or festival, IB will handle the transfer and remittance on the business day after the holiday or festival in a timely manner.

2. The single real-time inter-bank transfer-out amount cannot exceed RMB 50,000, but the single ordinary inter-bank transfer amount can exceed RMB 50,000. Nonetheless, neither of the two can exceed the daily transfer limit.

Question: How to activate real-time inter-bank transfer-out?

Answer: After activating the function of transfer and remittance via personal internet banking, you can handle real-time inter-bank transfer-out. You can go to any IB outlet to activate the business or log on to the internet banking system with a certificate.

Question: Do real-time intra-bank transfer support the transfer to make repayment to an IB credit card?

Answer: The real-time intra-bank transfer does not support the transfer to make repayment to an IB credit card. Please use the function of intra-bank credit card repayment under the menu of credit card.

Question: Why does my scheduled transfer fail?

Answer: The causes leading to the failure of scheduled transfer include: insufficient deposit balance of demand account, deactivated transfer function, exceeding of the daily transfer limit, etc. In addition, other causes may also result in the failure of scheduled transfer, including the shutdown or suspension of the modern payment system of the People's Bank of China or the system of another bank, and upgrading of IB's system. We recommend you to inquire about the transaction details of your account and check whether the scheduled transfer has been triggered normally.

The “Smart Messenger” of IB provides the notification services on changes in account balance and failure in automatic deduction. We recommend you to activate the function so that you can know the handling result of scheduled transfer timely.

Question: Why the transfer to another bank fails to reach the target account though it is indicated that the transfer is successful?

Answer: In case of such a problem, it mainly has to do with the handling of account affairs by another bank. Please contact the customer service center of the other bank in question for consultation.

Question: Can I handle transfer and remittance via personal internet banking during festival or holiday?

Answer: The transfer and remittance of personal internet banking support uninterrupted service for 7*24 hours. However, the transfer and remittance service may also be suspended due to such causes as the shutdown or suspension of the modern payment system of the People's Bank of China or the system of another bank, and upgrading of IB's system.
