The online payment password for debit card is a special one for making online payment. The payment password must be a combination of six numbers. Question: The debit card online payment page says that the payment has been successfully made and the funds have been deducted from my payment account, but the merchant says that it hasn't received my payment. What should I do?

Answer: After your successful payment, IB will handle the transaction on a real-time basis immediately: if the internet merchant has an online payment direct linkage with IB, then the money will be settled to the merchant's account immediately; if the online merchant is linked with IB's online payment system through a payment service provider (e.g. a third party payment platform like Alipay), then the money will be settled to the account of the payment service provider instantly.

If the money has been deducted from your payment account but the merchant does not receive the payment yet, it is possible that the merchant has not settled the transaction with the payment service provider on a real-time basis. You may log on to the personal internet banking system and choose “Online Payment”→“Enquiry about Online Payment Details” to check whether the corresponding payment record exists in the details. All records displayed in the results of enquiry about online payment details are those with successful payments.
