71 Banks Have Committed to the Adopt the Equator Principles

On August 3 2009, Fortis Bank (Holland) officially announced its adoption of the Equator Principles. Namely, it will adopt the environmental and social risk management framework that the Principles offer. The Bank committed to applying the Principles to project financing in all industries. After the Fortis Group announced the adoption of the Principles in some of its businesses in 2006, the Fortis Bank Holland has now made a further promise to conduct project financing in a socially responsible manner and to embody good management practices for environmental and social risks into operations.
