Industrial Bank was rated AA- in the “Third CSR Report Rating for A-share Companies”

In November 2011, the “Third CSR Summit Forum for A-share Companies and Award CSR Report Rating Ceremony for Listed Companies 2011” were ceremoniously held in Beijing. The 2010 Sustainability Report of Industrial Bank released by Industrial Bank Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “IB”) stood out among all A-share listed companies and was rated AA- with a score of 74.81. With its total score ranking No. 12 among listed companies, up 5 places over the previous year, IB was given a “positive” rating outlook.

Jointly sponsored by the only social responsibility rating company, Rankins CSR Ratings (RKS), Chinese CSR Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, and the world-leading management institution, DET NORSKE VERITAS (DNV), this award appraisal carries out professional evaluations on over 519 CSR reports of listed companies using MCT professional report rating system in four aspects including “overall evaluation”, “content evaluation”, “technical evaluation”, and “industry evaluation”, and promptly published the rating report via the financial media hexun.com.

It is reported that the 2010 Sustainability Report of Industrial Bank explains the meaning of social responsibility especially from the aspects of environment and sustainability, showing the sustainability practices of the first Chinese Equator bank in a systemic and comprehensive way. The rating report of the appraising party, Rankins CSR Ratings (RKS), shows that the 2010 sustainability report released by IB basically discloses the characteristic information of the finance and insurance industry, including the specific environmental policy information and social policy information applied in business activities, policies on fair design and the sale of financial products and services, procedures on evaluating and monitoring environmental and social risks in business, environmental and social policies on evaluation, and coverage and frequency of auditing on the implementation of risk evaluation. With prominent industrial attributes, the report particularly reports on the performance of IB in the field of responsible investment as a bank, innovatively discloses the environmental and social risks management system of the enterprise and the progress in promoting the sustainability concept in value chains. The “industry evaluation” of the report ranks No. 1 among the CSR reports of all listed companies.
